Using Canon 300d, Sigma 150mm Macro Lens and sometimes Flash in low light condition. As for the camera setup, I use M mode. Adjust Apeture to control DOF. Higher apeture for greater DOF and flash to make up lost of light. Shutter speed varies from 1/60s - 1/160s. Normally to prevent handshake effect is recommended to set 1/(lens focal lens)s. But BG will become black for faster shutter speed. This is what I learn from the guru tchuanye here. Get some inspiration from this japanese guy, Ishii san also. here is the link for his works with Tamron 90mm macro and 180mm macro lens: http://www.tamron.co.jp/lineup/272e/ish_report02.html http://www.tamron.co.jp/lineup/b01/ish_report02.html http://www2.ttcn.ne.jp/~naturephoto/
Glad tt you like it |

Much Improvements can be seen here Bong.
Like what Melvyn pointed out, look out for the hot spots. Usually, those reflective surfaces, white subjects tend to cause this. I like the compositions of the shots. #4 has alot of potential, but the eyes are just slightly OOF. I also like #1 v much. Do keep posting.

I like some of his works because 3D and artistic. Not only focus on the subject and also bluring the fg and bg to give 3D effect. The pattern and position of the subject make the photo looks artistic. This is what he inspire me and wanna 2 learn and try. ![]() |
