Default Are Hoya ND filters cheap?

Last time I saw this post, the seller sells the Hoya ND 2X filter at $10 only.

Is this type of filter very cheap for 77mm thread also?

Thanks.

i did a trial and found that to solve the 'green cast' was to set a white balance. in my case was to set it to my halogen lamp and it looked alright. lol.

Hoya filters, like some other brands, come in different grades. The cheaper ones are the single coated "Standard" ones. Slightly up are the "HMC" series and for some bigger sizes like the 77mm threaded ones, they even have the so called "Ultra" series.

You have to decide whether it's justified to pay a premium for the better ones (as these topics about filters has been discussed to death elsewhere) but the most important point to me is, besides the build, the filter should not exhibit any colour cast.
