Default MO: Wireless Hotshoe Flash Trigger (Radio) 2!!!

Due to popular demand I'm doing a second MO for the wonder flash trigger

This is trigger using radio signal so it doesn't have the disadvantages like the IR and Optical triggers (like operation under bright sunlight and distance).

Previously I heard that the optical triggers don't work on Canon flashes but I've tested THIS trigger on EX 550 and EX 420 and it works perfectly.

AND THIS TIME!!!

Introducing you the 4 CHANNELS version, I got this sample together with the previous MO and it works even more flexible than the PT-01! You can set up 4 sets of different lighting positions and trigger them in a simple channel setting. Take a look at the picture below.

If anyone interested, do put down your names so I can gather a list to do an MO. It cost SGD$80 per piece for the PT-01 (1 ch version) and SGD$100 per piece for the PT-04 (4 ch version). Receivers and Triggers alone are going at half the price (SGD$40 and SGD$50 respectively). Though, they cannot sync each other so make sure you are ordering the right receiver if you are those who participated in the 1st MO. Thanks.

two queries:

1. Can you clarify saying PT-04 cost S$100 each: meaning 1 set (receiver and trigger) or S$100 for trigger/S$100 for receiver?
2. for PT-04: can i use only one flash for now and use all channels in the future? all all channels must use?
forgive me if I ask silly question...

if all answer yes; then I confirm my order...reserve one for me.

hi tunster, I'm pretty new in this stuff and I'm interested to find out more before I confirm in ordering. Will appreciate if you can elaborate on the setting up of PT-04 with 4 different lighting positions.

Correct me if I'm wrong on the following set-up: I'm a Nikon D70s user. With one set of PT-04, I mounted my trigger on my camera hotshoe and the receiver on a tripod with main flashlight (SB-800) attached. So for 2nd, 3rd and 4th flashlight set-ups, do I need to get extra Receivers or just attached remote eyes respectively? In SB-800, I'm able to set the main flashlight as the master channel and the remote ones as other channels. So do I adjust the setting on each flashlight attached with remote eyes?

What abt PT-01? Does it work the same as PT-04 if I get 3 extra receivers for the respective flashlights? What I mean is, can the PT-01 trigger triggers only one receiver or multiple receivers?

Please kindly advise. Thank you very much.

Perhaps an explanation of one channel vs 4 channels would be useful to answer those queries.

I do have a query - what brand is this wireless trigger? I'm looking to see if I can use this together with my existing set of triggers/receivers as I understand the same brand of triggers will work together.

I will get back to you the studio flash question. Can tell me what studio flash and what connection of the studio flash you refering to? For this product, it is more for converting our existing flash unit to be an external flash for more creative lighting.

For the battery that use by the receiver is a common camera CR2 battery. Can get it at EastGear as well. While the trasmitter is using a L1028 Alkaline Battery 23A 12V, this battery can last very long. So if needed to change after some time later, just unscrew the only screw on the bottom of the transmitter to open it. Very easy to replace. I will try to find out more detail on where to get the battery.

Ok, just to clarify to whom may confused. I am the distribution person at Singapore for this MO.

For the 2nd, 3rd and 4th flash you can either set your flash to SU-4 (Slave mode- Note:This mode not supported by Canon Flashes) if they are able to tridger in the line of sight by the 1st flash unit. If you want to place the 2nd, 3rd and 4th flash unit not in the line of sight from the 1st flash unit, you need to get another receiver for this case.

Just want to make something clear, PT-04 is a 4 channel which can support 4 groups of flashes and tridger each group differently. If you want all your flashes to fire at the same time, you can just get PT-01 which can tridger 4 flashes at the same time, just require one PT-01 transmiter with 4 PT-01 receivers.

Hope this can clear some of the doubt you guys have here.

Cheers,

Sorry to type wrongly your order. Your queries for the four channel one I actually answer it on the preview reply. Yes, you can use one channel now, in the future, if you need more than one channel. Can just buy the additional PT-04 receiver.

PT-04 is more for those ppl who need to tridger different group of flash/es separately, If you want them to fire together, this one can just done by PT-01. SO the PT-04 advantage is able to expand for 4 channel tridger.

I will post another post to clarify the difference and advantage of PT-04 over PT-01
