Default Chinatown Showdown

Did a BnW series on the Checkers players at Chinatown. I was fortunate enough to encounter the local champ there at the time, which had attracted a bold challenger and a fairly large crowd of retirees.

The general scene

The Crowd - The Challenger is struggling here, the guy with the crew is the champ.

Champ

A rematch

And a sideshow

Nice series Stoned. This one in particular which shows the crowd add to the anxiety of the moment.

I like the last pic with the man pondering his next move. The fella next to him gazing intently at the board adds to the effect too. Great!

Er nope. Do they? I was there for about half an hour but didn't see any money changing hands. Is it some sort of gambling then?

Film or digital? Very nice b/w conversion if its digital and if its film, still very nice shots.
