It would be more interesting to shoot a half moon. There will be more contrast and the craters will show up more distinctly. Just my opinion.

Thanks for the info joeyao. I've never tried to capture a half moon before. Will give it a try sometime.

anyway, yesterday's moon was big & round... using naked eyes could see quite clearly, cos sky wasn't clouded (my area)

Ahhhh! Thanks DCA. I just realised that I've typed the wrong date on my thread title!!! It should be 13 Feb., NOT 16 Feb.
No wonder you were asking for the TOTO and 4D numbers.

Thanks for the comment eikin. Agreed that it looked soft. I would like to think that I've cropped it too tight and blown it too big.
I took the moon at 280mm (200 mm c/w 1.4x TC), but the moon only filled up less then 5% of the whole picture, hence my intensive cropping and resizing. The photos are at more than 100% crop.
Another thing to take note was that there was a creep on my pan head. (lost a washer, now substituting with another ill fitting one - can't really secure it as the washer bent when I tightened the handle) The camera was slowly dropping down when I took the photo, wonder whether that affected the photo. Will have to get the head checked out soon.

Thanks yftye. Will experiment increasing the exposure by another stop the next time when I get the chance.
