Bro, finally, generally nice shot, especially with out post processing work done.

I must say 2nd 2nd show look better in term of colours and brightness direct out from camera, 1st day 2nd show colour look a bit dull but that is subjective to individual taste, however it look underexpose though.

Sharpness wise, seem like 1st day 2nd show look slightly better.

But you using different lens is it? In camera setting also slightly different, so a bit hard to compare both system.

surprisingly the beer can f/4 is brighter than the sigma f/2.8 ?
But can see the beer can really a good & cheap lens.

Not true ........ I am shooting in manual mode and and with my D70 speed is set at 1/250s and faster at f3.5 against the 1/125s at f4 for the KM 5D. That's about 1/2 stop in favour of the 5D. Moreover, I was shooting in RAW with the D70 and the conversion to Jpeg took a toll on the pics and made them appear less vibrant. With the 5D I shot in Jpeg fine, no data conversion, and with the color mode at Adobe RGB with enhanced saturation and contrast.

I think much also depends on the type of flash being used .........

Shooting at higher shutter speeds also make the background darker and more out of focus.....

What flash do you use?

Indeed if Nikon one set at 1/200s or slower will probably be correct.

Although I don't think taking RAW + JPEG will deteriorate the JPEG file .

BTW, did you use manual, auto or preset white balance?

With the Nikon, I was shooting Auto with some fine-tuning and with the KM I was using manual color temperature WB .........

Sigma for Nikon and KM 3600 for KM.

Setting at 1/250s is like buying insurance against camera shake, especially when the camera does not have AS/IS/VR.

Getting harder to decide which one I prefer ......... generally speaking, it goes down to the AS and better sensor on the 5D against faster Af and better ergonomics of the D70.

THe only thing that will tilt the scale, is the introduction of a VG, whoever comes up with a VG gets my favour .....
