hard to end licence when Sony got such high volumes, loser is on CZ side... but a CZ-grade, SSM, f2.8 Pro zoom set (the old 24-70/70-200) should be a show stealer...
the licences are there, the tech are there, the mktg are there. lol the 1-1000mm f1.0 would be a huge inflatable bubble lens ![]()

Its like when ppl buy a Canon or Nikon lenses, any of them,... ppl will say, wah pro lens... to those who know nuts about camera... den seldom ppl will praise Minolta... esp now... and even worse.. Sony... ppl will say, junk it... wait for others to review 1st.. den die lor... Unless brand loyal ppl like us buy it, otherwise its hard for them to really make a sound... i'd say, maybe the next camera will come with a kit lens, probably a 17-85 kinda range... might even be a remake version of the 5D kit lens.. which is actually a Tamron... So is there still a need for Sony Lenses? If they make a 17-85 kinda range, f2.8 or maybe f3.5 constant, with SSM, thrown into next body as kit lens... that would be interesting... i dun mind changing my 7D already...

uhm... I don't understand why people buy because of brand...
As long as it is cheap, and deliver what it says... I don't really care what the brand is, and certainly don't need any praise for any camera brand I use.. Hart |

Pride of ownership is quite important to some people. Its like an Identity. Almost patriotic, haha! Quite disappointed they had to change the name to Sony though, since I stuck with Minolta for so long, and never seriously thought of buying Sony cameras or lens.

I don't mind the DSLR & GPS combo though.
After all, Nikon & Canon have their own GPS attachments. ![]()

I must say that the F717 was one of the best cams I had used lens-wise, not because carl zeiss is carl zeiss

Unfortunately that is life and that is also why the camera companies are churning out digicams every other month... for bragging rights, people will hope on the bandwagon... same situation with handphones, cars, TVs, etc no? Pretty ridiculous... but sadly true.... I guess we are the pragmatic ones... we go for good value rather than flash. |
