Here's a pic to show u how it fits on my 055Pro. The 484RC2's rather sturdy for a small mini ballhead and holds well too!

Snoweagle, thanks for the pics. it looks that the ballhead only occupy the inner circle of the 055 head.

Yes cos it's a mini ballhead. This 484RC2 can support up to 4kg.

I hope that this thread is "sticky" so that we will know who will be the distributor for Manfrotto here in Singapore and what date it will be available.

If that's your concern, then, go for the 486RC2, which matches pretty nicely to the top flange of the 055. With a bigger ballhead, your future expansion or upgrading to bigger and heavier lenses and body with Vgrip would be well catered for. Might even be good enough for a MF set-up, that is if that's your cup of tea.

As for me, I got the 055 and the 486 combo - it becomes sort of my permanent combo becos the 2 got stuck together for life! Becos I screwed them too tight together and not not able to remove now.

Wow...better now over-tighten it cos it may damage the screw threads. Actually i agree that the 486RC2 looks better on the 055Pro but for me i don't need that much so a 484RC2 will suffice.

Usually Manfrotto tripods are sold legs only. Heads are purchased separately.
