Default Fujifilm FinePix S602 Pro Zoom vs. Canon IXUS V3?

Is it fair to compare Fujifilm FinePix S602 Pro Zoom vs. Canon IXUS V3?

both has about 3.1 or 3.2 million pixel?

Welcome to Clubsnap. By the way, I hope you don't cross post here.

To answer your question, it is not fair to compare the 2 cams you mentioned. The V3 is a ultra compact digicam while the S602Z is a prosumer digicam, with plenty of manual features.

Price wise, the V3 is less expensive than the S602Z. If you want a sleek and stylish cum compact camera, get the V3. If you want manual features, get the S602Z.

By the way, maybe you can try to read up the both camera specs at Dpreview for the details.

Hopes that helps.

Default sorry

hi, thanks for your input and sorry about the cross postings, I didn't know that this post went through as this is my first posting and I encounter some problems at first.

about Canon or Fuji, it is so hard to decide. I've used a SLR Nikon and a couple of other dummy push button cameras and each has its unique advantages.

it all boils down to the fact that I hope to stretch my dollar and get the best value for money.

for ease when travel, to take scenery, and sometimes group pictures, do you think Canon Ixus V3 is sufficient?

can we use Canon Ixus V3 to adjust until there is 'enough' light to take photos in a dark place? e.g. at night?

what about in bright daylight? can we adjust until the contrast is pleasant e.g object to photo is not facing sun therefore people have dark faces? can Canon Ixus V3 detect and compensate?

once again, thanks.

I think a better comparison would be the 602 with the olympus c730uz.

I know there's a 4x zoom difference, but what are the other major differences? My eyes are not trained, so I cannot tell the differences between sample photos from both.

In addition, how do the AF and shutter lag times compare? I'm seriously considering the 602 as the camera to get.
