focusing hen using Hoya +3 close up....?

Hi,

I bought a Hoya +3 CU from CP but am having problem focusing on my FZ5 as compare to just switch to Marco mode or zoom and focus w/o the CU attach ....any method that i should follow? thanks!!

Set you lens to the longest focal length with the +3CU filter on, put you finger in front of the lens, try with various distant, to see able to focus.

You may find the distant between subject and the camera are very close.

for 12x zoom, your working distance must be somewhere near 33cm just like Nikon 4T/6T as both got about the same diopter

Try setting to MF first then focus by moving the camera back & forth...

the manual focus on the Fz5 is the focus lock button on the camera..just change the settings in the menu

i tried that but hor it will 'focus' ven the object is blur
