New Feature Added : Ratings for Buy & Sell and Consumers Corner

In an effort to improve member experience of Buying/Selling/Trading activities on ClubSNAP, we have now implemented a rating system for this purpose. While it isn't a fool-proof system that guarantees the accuracy of the reputation of members who buy/sell/trade, it does serve as a means to remind everyone to be more careful.

The Buy & Sell Rating System has been activated in Buy/Sell sub-forum, Consumer Corners sub-forum.

To submit a new rating for your Buyer/Seller/Trader:
- Click on the B&S Rating link near the member's Avatar
- Click on the Submit Feedback for membername in the iTrader statistics page that follows

To view your own ratings, simply click on the Quick Links->View My iTrader Status in the navigation bar at the top of each page.

The rating is shown in threads in this format - B&S Rating: 10/80%
The first number (10) is the total number of feedbacks/ratings this member has received.
The second number (80%) is the number of positive feedbacks.

Note: To reduce misuse or abuse, the rating system is currently restricted/limited.
1) Only members who have registered more than 30 days AND have more than 50 posts will be able to leave a feedback/rating for another member.
2) If you have left a feedback/rating for a member, you have to wait for 7 days before you can leave another new feedback/rating - this is to prevent spamming/abuse or misuse to boost another members ratings by collusion.

We will review the settings, restrictions and limitations in the coming weeks, and will amend as necessary. Please bear with us during this period while we finetune the system to enhance your Buy/Sell/Trade experience in ClubSNAP.

As usual, kindly post your feedback in the Feedback & Suggestion Box if you encounter any problems. Please do NOT post bug reports in this thread.

This is definitely a good feature. I guess those who opens a B&S thread on behalf of someone else will not be able to do so in future, how else to rate them, right?

Doing away with that brings direct buyer/seller contact and both have equal interests to upkeep their CS reputation, thus mutual interests to keep the deal straight.

I feel that this feature is great for large geographical territories such as US where items are often shipped before being inspected by the buyer, or the buyer has to wire money to a unknown seller first. In Singapore, most of the time you get to meet up and inspect the goods before buying, so the usefulness is not as high.

But still, it is an improvement. Great job!
