saturation can boost some more .
the merlion kinda over but perhaps u can try overlaying in PS

What is your setting? F13, 3sec, or bulb?

Nice photos. U took from the bridge with tripod? Went there days back but the fireworks haven start that time... haiz must find time go back there again

Yes, WA @ F11 and bulb . Forgot to dodge the Merlion with
black card .To be safe, use 3 sec. but would be control by what fired out.
Bulb , you can have more control .Thanks for comment.

Zachmus, Ya I used a tripod.
If you shoot from where I was, any days of the week should be fine.
If you wanna shoot from the sheare bridge with the skyscraper as background, today is good coz it is a working day, buildings are all lighted up.
Fireworks start at 9:30pm.Thx for viewing

Kit lens can also capture as the fireworks was shot at an angle facing the Merlion.

For #2, I feel the trail of light left by the moving boat quite distracting...maybe can clone it away!

Hardly did any PS except the framing, the idea of clone off the trail is good.
