    Default gimp install help

    Hi,

I would like to install gimp on my p[c, and I had downloaded the files from the website, but I can't seem to install it.

What would I need to do to instll it, as there don't seem to be an install/setup file.

    Thanks.

Assuming you are using windows, you need to get the installer (and not the source files).
    Try : http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/g...p.zip?download

Try this site. You will need to install the GTK libraries also.

No you don't have to. Enjoy GIMPing!
I'm not an expert but I can definitely try to help if there are any problems.

While you're at it, might want to try out a free raw converter that plugs into gimp : http://ufraw.sourceforge.net/Install.html

Scroll down to MS Windows for dummies ... or directly : http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/u...p.exe?download
