    If I can do with a 20-35mm, surely u can do with your 18-55mm, it is already wide enough for 99% of situation for stage and dinner table.

    if it aint' wide enough, ask people to SQUEEZE!!!!!! its always a lot of fun for them!!!! u a bounce card if u can make one in time. bring both lenses loh, its not that heavy anyway.

    I use 17~55 mainly, most of the time shoot weddings only with one lens, don't find any problem with that.

    likewise for me
    Great photography is about depth of feeling, not depth of field.
