Thread: noir - the darkness

    Default noir - the darkness

erm, first time posting here~ please excuse me if i'm doing anything wrong ^^
took these photos of my doll, and i was going for the old, moody b/w film effect. would like opinions on how to improve the contrast in lighting, camera angle etc. in order to make the photos look more like cinema stills. hehe... please feel free to bring the critiques on!

taken with a panasonic lumix DMC-FZ20. oh, and thanks in advance

how come the "model" look like a barbie doll to me.. i mean it looks plasticky eg. the face and fingers...doesnt look like a real human to me..especially #2... the face and fingers look too plasticky perfect..

is the model expensive becos u bought a $299 figurine for these shots?

whatever it is, they are nice shots!

    ted70: XD thanks!

kcuf2: thanks for the feedback and for thinking my shots are nice~ actually i used a ball-jointed 63cm doll for the shoot, and these dolls are made of resin i think... but you're right - sometimes they tend to look a bit plasticky ^^ and er, dolls such as these cost more than $299 la.. haha
