Default Flappin' Wings

Here's 3 Mandarin Ducks & a Bronzy Inca. Ok.... first one is not flapping it's wings... but just bought the Nikon TC 2x.. just testing it...

Its a Humming bird in the Indoor Humming bird aviary. Its a Sparkling Violetear if I am not wrong..

Hmm.. Yes I agree that its difficult, He went there a few times to improve to get this result.

Interesting point to note... I definitely looks like the sparkling violetear.. but the exhibit shows 'Bronzy Inca'.

This is a sparkling violetear I took sometime back.

of course its difficult. it just looks easy Willy is the hummingbird expert....

Just luck and patience actually..
Realised that my Sony 707 was better at taking the hummingbird due to the flash sync speed... this shot was at 1/800s with flash.


On my D100, the max speed I can get with flash is 1/160, which doesn't allow me to totally freeze the bird..

The advantage I have though is that I can do multiple bursts with flash on the D100... previously on the Sony 707, I can only manage to take 1 shot each time the hummingbird comes to the feeder..
