can the c8080 take macro shots? what is the min distance to object? thanks

Yes.

For Normal Macro is around 20cm and Super Macro is 5cm.

Internal flash is inhibited when Super macro mode is used.

Alternatively add a macro lens to the 8080 and use macro mode.
