Having tried just general bounce, top, left, yada yada, and Sto-Fen... I've decided to settle with the ABetterBounceCard (The one with black stripe in the middle) for most situations but works best for portraits - works brilliantly and exactly the way it's mentioned by the guy... Video is available at www.abetterbouncecard.com - look for NewVideo #3

I got my foam card for about a dollar each (A4) at Art Friend and use velcro to attach it to my flash.

What is a bounce card for? And what difference is this to a diffuser?

Bounce card reflects light (usually forward) and diffusers soften light. They're usually used with the camera pointed up so that bouncing from ceiling can be done.

Well I am using it, not complicated to fix and easily to carry. Also take up no space before assembly.BTW I have the lightsphere and done a test using Sekonic L-758 DR light meter to measure the light output from both reflector, putting the SB800 to full power manual mode. My measurement show that the softlite have 1 stop advantage over the lightsphere.

Do you change any settings on the flash when you use this or leave it in its default settings when using this?
