Lumiquest Pocket Bouncer
5x7" bounce card alone
5x7" bounce card + ceiling
The built-in bounce card on the flash alone
The built-in bounce card on the flash + ceiling
None, direct flash is so much better
None, don't use flash
i think the guy in the atrium as described earlier, wasnt trying to bounce off the ceiling.. i think he's juz trying to prevent harsh flashes..so he's doing the pointing up, wif the stofen on.. maybe 45 degrees will do too.. which in both instances, wld be the correct way..
can the experts correct me if i'm wrong..
If you shoot straight with the wide angle adapter on(14mm), is the flash diffused?
Where can one buy the 'Lumiquest Pocket Bouncer' ??
THink this thread has been around for too long that some of the latest device is not in there.
Anyway, I used to DIY a white bounce card measuring 30cm x 30cm. Been using it for a while and lately, decide to get the Flip It Jumbo Pro during the M.O.
I'm pretty impressed by the results of the Flip It Jumbo Pro. I've not used the GFLS so I'm unable to make a direct comparison on it. Nevertheless, I've heard from alot of photographers that the GFLS tends to drop off easily but I have yet face this problem with the Flip It Jumbo Pro.
I believed the LS consumes more battery power due to the dome while the Flip-It acts like a bounce card except that it has a front diffuser and thus, is more battery friendly.
For a AD wedding I took last week, I only set it once during the day and once during the dinner. I think the omni bounce doesnt throw light as far away, especially for a big hall. I find my bounce card more cumbersome because I can only shoot in landscape and its a hassle to remove and adjust for portrait shoot.
You'll need to turn the flash when using the omni bounce or diffuser as well.
This is how it looks when taking in landscsape. Note that the flip it card is on the shorter side of the flash.
I saw some who use a plastic like white card using velco. Any idea where can I get this?
