Thread: rubber hood + filter

    Default rubber hood + filter

if using a screw-on rubber hood and a uv filter or polarizing filter with a tele-lens, should the hood be put on first, or the filter? (the rubber hood uses the lens filter threads, not the usual hood thread on the outside of the lens)

i would like to put the hood on first, then the filter, as this makes it easier to change filters. but this creates a big space between the filter glass and the lens front element. will this be very bad for image quality?

    either combo also no vignetting...
