Dust in lens happens... If under warranty, do send it in for servicing ASAP.

I have use it extensively for a year and it was perfectly dust free.
Some says that the zooming sucks in dust. I dun know, maybe you're the unlucky one. Time to get FZ7. ![]() |

when u extend out the lens, the dust could stay on it, then when u zoom back in, the dust will go into the lens..
i kena that for my lenses too..but if it doesnt affect image quality, it shouldnt be a big problem.. |

My Nikkor 18-70 kit lens also have dust inside it.
Probably will bring it in for servicing near the end of the warranty. Sob =( Not going to zoom anymore.. It just turned into a 18mm prime lens. (minus the quality) |

We are living in a world that full of dust, dust found inside the lens is very common, and will not affect images quality unless it is very bad. So don't be so over react about dust problem.
