I don't know about those who sell theirs. What I know is that the 50-200mm is an excellent piece of glass, ranks with the best of long-zoom lens of any make in terms of optical quality.

However, even when using the cheaper 40-150mm, I have come to realise that it is a range which I seldom use. For my needs, I mostly use 35mm equivalent of 20mm~100mm, which is well covered by my 11-22mm and 14-54mm lenses.

That could be why they are selling theirs.

The 35-100mm F2.0 is simply an amazing lens but is simply too costly for me even though I will love to have it.

I am selling mine mint condition one month old 50-200mm lens at $1500.

I bought it from bhphoto at $1480 but olympus is international warranty and I have receipt + warranty card. Actually I like my lens a lot. That is why I am not willing to sell lower. My copy is very sharp so this will be the VERY LAST lens I sell from my olympus setup.

Still waiting for oly announcement b4 deciding what to buy.

I will strongly urge you to keep the lens until Olympus' announcement, in case they come up with a body that you end up liking.
