Default Cold Blooded

Was pouring on Sunday at the zoo... so I just managed to stay in the reptile shelter to take these shots..

All using Nikon AFS 80-200 with extension tube

I like the 3rd photo best. It seem to be the frog want to tell the photographer something. I find the stick with 2 holes on the left of the frog a bit distracting (not due to colour), seem like a weapon

Hey, don't you think the 3rd frog looks like kermit? Cute!

It's some kind of growth that has formed on the frog... looked like a nest of some sort ...

i like the 3rd one...as cillin has pointed out, the stick is a bit distracting...also, half of the frog's right arm was blocked by the tree trunk in front...and the pic also a bit slanted?

for the 4th and 5th....seems that the DOF is too shallow and not the whole frog body is in focus?? or is that your intention?

5th one was intentional... 4th one wasn't... I'm not that familiar with closeup flash photography yet so all my flash shots didn't turn out well... the 4th & 5th one was taken without flash, therefore the aperature was left fairly large, thus the shallow DOF.

The 3rd one was with flash at F14.

if the object is NOT moving ( super still type ) , you can dun use flash and use long exposure + tripod on , just a night shot

Yes, that was us. That was a Coolpix 5700, not 5000.

We were at the zoo on Sat too, which had a better weather. Sunday was disappointing. We'll try to post some pics soon.
