    Default Twisted!

My first attempt at using the fish eye lens (Peleng 8mm). Comments/critique welcomed! What you see is what I snapped ... no post processing whatsoever!

    Looks like an over-exposed image.

The over-exposure was done deliberately to 'wash out' those stuff in the middle. Not familiar with using PS yet ....

If you are wondering where I took this pic from, it's at the staircase inside an industrial building. Heartshape is right ... the curved railings, bent walls and the hole at the top right corner do give the impression that you are looking at a 'smiley'!

interesting idea but not ideal execution. Where did u read the exposure from and how many stops did u overexpose by? at least use PS to pull the hightlights back, washed out colours are a no-no.

I did a +1 on the exposure. Oh, I forgot to mention that I used the built-in flash as well for filling in the corners. I guess that added to the over-exposure. Here's another one I took without flash and exposure compensation ... but I guess the 'smiley' in this pic won't be that obvious. Everything is manually focussed. This lens doesn't accept AF anyway.

so did u read off the exposure metering from inside or outside?

i figure. calculate the differences in exposure inside & outside. balance overexpose for outside & fill flash for inside.
