    Default How grateful are u?

I'm sure that everyone of us here meet benefactors in our course of life, be it imparting a skill to u, aiding u when u're in need, etc.

Since this is a photography forum, lets talk abt our own Masters (be it in person or a book).

The people whom I am grateful to and taught me nothing about photography are:

    1. Dr. Bruce Wilkinson - Walk Thru the Bible Ministries

    2. Dr. Howard G. Hendricks whom I met personally in Singapore -
The 7 laws of the teacher.

    3. Mr. Rick Warren - who wrote the book "The purpose Driven Life"

    -------------------------
    On being grateful...
Knowing your purpose gives meaning and drives to your life.

Well, as for photo teachers, it is the photo lab people. And the books at the National Library. Without the library, I wouldn't be what I am today.

Other than that, Ajahn Brahm, a great Buddhist monk is another I would respect forever.

Photography was a subject which I had to take in school
And I am grateful to Ms Jane Chua and my fellow
classmates who introduced me to photography
and was my photo kaki back then.

Also the various pro photogs that i met and shared with me
    during that time.

It is difficult to measure the degree of gratefulness of a person.
However there are clear signs that those who consciously chose
to be grateful are often hired that those who are not.

In the event of surging towards commercialism, people will
totally forget about being grateful unless there are reminders
    through small study groups.

It seems there are not many grateful photographers around CS!

    ---------------------------------
I would rather have my images
    go through "soft" interpretation rather
    than "hard" objective information and
being grateful that the inspiration was
given by God for that creation.

Please publish a list of photographers in CS whom you think are "ungrateful".

I've never had a real mentor in photography as I've learnt from many different sources. Certainly, I will never discount the fact that I've learnt so much online in a variety of different forums and webpages.

But there's also a saying that goes, "You are your own teacher."

I'm grateful to CS for giving me the opotunity to explore and get lots of valuable infomation. From CS, I get to know some really helpful ppl whose valuable experience help me to improve my photography skills. I personally did not have any photography training and had no actual mentor. Even the person who posted beautiful photos gave me the inspiration to archieve a certain degree of their standard. Later I also look at those not so good photos to learn the mistakes made so that I can avoid them.

The best training I have is from Outings that were organised by CSer.

This are some of the CSer that had help me in one way or another. Not in order of merits:

    1. USM - had my 1st outing organised by him.
    2. Ortega - Advised me in resolving issues i have with my photography techniques.
    3. Canew - for introducing me to CS and for getting me interested in Digital photography.
    4. SteveWhy - for his unique way of macro photography
5, The Admins and Moderators of CS - for running Clubsnap.

There are others that had help me along the way. Of-course there are others outside of CS that had help me along in other field of photography.

    Thanks You everyone here.
