Default Just bought a Nikon D70s

Hello all!

This afternoon I made the big jump (okay, not quite) from my Nikon SLR to the Nikon D70s DSLR. It came with a 18-70mm lens, and then I bought a UV lens filter for it as well as a 256MB storage card and plan to upgrade with the next paycheck. Just needed something to get me going for the first couple weeks of using the camera.

Anyway, just wanted to say hello to all and hopefully I'll be around much more - I'm sure I'll have lots of questions about this camera.

Welcome to the darkside.. On your next paycheck, consider or rather get a electric dry cabinet..If you have a tight budget, go for a 30L ($99) from Digi Cabi. This will protect your investment from getting fungus from our humid weather. Electric consumption is only 5W.

This sud be sufficient for your camera and the lens kit, perhaps in future a nikon SB800 flash and a 70-300mm tele lens.

Oh yeah, get at least 1 GB CF card. This card sud get you at least 191 shots on jpeg fine but lower on RAW and let you shoot shoot shoot and choose the best shots.

Oh yes, get ready for espn's buy buy buy(BBB) virus. He is our resident evil....

May I know how much you buy it and where? I plan to go to singapore next month, and I will decide it in the shop whether to get D50 or D70s I know this dilema happens to many of us. But I have a tendency to get D70s with Kit Lens.

Thanks in advance
Jimmy

Check out the link bleow:

http://forums.clubsnap.org/showthread.php?t=151190

Listed somewhere below are the more reputable retail outlets in Singapore.

BTW, one month is a pretty long time. The D70S, especially, gets out of stock very often. Best of luck.

Regards.

D70s is a good cam to start out with. Try making full use of the cam and progress from there, i'm pretty sure u'll like the cam alot.
