    Default help on cropping and dpi?

    if i cropping to a 4R size by using 1600 by 1066, wat abt the resolution? i'm using PS to crop it, any calculation to be done? pls help. thks for any advice

    is my setting correct for printing 4R using 2.1mp DC on PS

    pixel dimensions
    width: 1600
    height: 1066

    document size
    width: 5.993
    height: 3.993
    resoultion: 267


    expert, kindly advice

    now im goin to crop the above 4R dimensions which showing 267dpi. that's a great difference, will it affect my pix quality?

    when the DPI is 72, you'll be printing a super big picture, not 4R (4"x6").

    you're not changing the resolution of the picture, just the size it prints. the resolution stays at 1600x1066. with this image, you can print 1R, 10R or 40R. It's just that the output quality degrades with increase in size.

    This is analogous to negatives. With the same negative, you can order 3R, 4R, 8R or even bigger. The negative stays the same size.
