Default South Korea through my little P&S

These were taken a few years back. No cropping, no flash and no tripod for all the shots. Camera was a Coolpix 4300. It's for sale @ $200.

This post is related to http://forums.clubsnap.org/showthread.php?t=171377.

Just a question. While going thru the forum, i notice pple seems to hv this need to say if they do PS or not, wht kind of camera, whether use tripod.

Any reasons why such information seems to always get highlighted?

The explanation is in the link to a related post. You may have missed that. The summary is that we should not get too hung up with the brand of camera. The pictures I have posted are all extreme in the sense that there was no tripod or flash used!

Actually, I didnt. My question is that whether a photo hv been cropped or PS or not, does it make a difference to the extend that whether it is being cropped or PS hv to be highlighted? I'm askin in this thread coz i see ur related post and feel u might be able to help answer from ur vast experience.

I get this feel tht PS, crop etc and photographers who dun are of entire 2 different class or type or photography. or tht pple who use P&S are different from DSLR?

Sorry if its a newbie question.

I don't think there should be a distinction whether it is edited via PS or not. In the old days, the person shooting the picture is not the same as the one developing. I guess the darkroom specialist is the PS expert.

You brought up a very good question which was not the intent of the post. I merely wanted to show how a cheapo camera without editing and accessories, can still produce decent pictures.

These photos just prove that the camera isn't really what matters, it's the person who's holding it and what they can do with it. Excellent job!
