Default ::DZUL FAZLY:: The Canon A-1

A bit of background about my photographic journey:
I dwelled abit with film photography way back in 2008 using the Lomography cameras. While I'm not by any means an expert or super knowledgeable in photography, you could say that I have had plenty of practice.

in 2010, I got my first 'serious' film camera - The Canon AV-1. Shot 2 roles with it before I got fed up with it eating up battery. Chucked it aside. Fast forward to 2018 - the AV-1 probably whispered in my ear while I was asleep and I find myself digging it out. Film advance lever was stuck. Long story short, I traded the AV-1 and nFD 50mm 1.8 with an A-1 FD 50mm f1.4 SSC.

After practicing with it for one roll, it is all coming back to me. Still need more practice though.

These shots are taken with the Canon A-1 and the FD 50mm f1.4 SSC on Kodak Portra 400. Processed by Konota.

My friend is very awkward when it comes to posed shots. So I made him look down and when I count to 3, he was supposed to look up. Right after I counted to 3, I made a joke, he laughed and I took the shot.

Japanese tourist with his Nikon F2. It looked as if the camera itself was looking at me when this shot was taken.
