Hi
Anyone has any personal experience with light tripod for travel. I have the manfrotto 055+488RC2, but would like to get a 2nd tripod which is lighter, and preferably cost below or ard $70. Any for recommendation? |

btw, for cheap light tripods, i don't expect to do long exposure with it. I'll check out the specs then, will need inputs/models/names for now.
thanks. |

I have seen someone carrying a tripod, the leg is kind of curve and chrome, looks stylish. Anyone has idea what tripod is it? it looks like a pretty well-built professional tripod.

Excluding the CF types, the Slik PRO DX series are light, compact and offer above average stability.

Is the Slik Pro 330DX is good tripod for travelling and backpacking for a 350D kit and flash? It seems light enough at less than 2kg.

I use a Slik Sprint Pro with 484RC2, light and can fit inside my backpack with head removed.

It's not that the Slik PRO DX... is/are popular... but for the fact that you already have the MF055 (a stable and above average but heavy) and assuming you are not considering CF types (which are above S$300 w/out head).
Having said that, they are a good compromise; light (relatively) and goes along well with a backpack strap.
