I am thinking of buying a new scanner. Any recommendations? I would ideally like to buy one that can scan colour slides but I know that this will bump up the price. Anyone have any success with scanning slides?

If you want to scan slides or negatives, go for a dedicated film scanner like the Nikon Coolscan IV ED. If you want to scan slides/negatives and is on a budget, go for the Benq Scanwit 2720 ($600) or 2740 ($800).
If you want to scan prints and do the occassional slide/neg, and want a scanner that can do both reasonably well, get the Epson 2450. Regards CK |
