Inkjet Paper on Dye Sublimation Printers

Has anyone tried using inkjet papers on dye sublimation printers such as those portable ones? Will it damage the printer or will the printouts just turn out bad?

In short, will not work. Dye sub printers consumables come in packets of ribbon ink and paper together. There's no point in using inkjet paper (what are you going to do with the supplied paper?), nor will it work (it doesn't stick).

There is a reason why it's called inkjet paper. Inkjets and dye-sub printers are 2 totally different conepts, though the only thing they have in common is the fact that they print things.

I wouldn't recommend you try inkjet paper in a dye-sub printer unless you've got the money to get a new one immediately after... Oh and I think warranty will be voided if you do that...

Same sentiments. Thanks for your feedback. My colleague wanted to test inkjet paper on his new dye printer and I told him it would damage the printer.
