Hi
hey guys u're supposed to comment on the photos ;P thanks canturn - i haven't really looked at other photo books of Muslims yet. The only one I've browsed through is the book by Abbas, a Magnum Photographer who came up with Islam in Conflict, a book about Islam in war and conflicts, inspired no doubt by Abbas's coverage of the bloody revolution in Iran years ago and the hostage crisis in Iran at that time. will definitely want to check out the local books.... |

I did comment on this series of your photos, check out the other threads , heh
I think a project like this should be taken by someone from outside - to get a fresher perspective of things. Johari's account about Malays and Islam tends to be a little narrow in perspective compared to RD's. |
