from an unsuccessful sunrise shoot, here are some macros instead ...

did you shoot these shots at a high shutterspeed? wld prefer a better backgrd and also the flash seems too harsh on the subjects

yes i did, the backgrounds are messy, so decided to cut them off totally

Look like studio shoot to me.

Sometimes, dark barkground is good for different kind of subject and different style of handling the same thing.

BTW......how many friends do you have in Punggol.....seems like many

thanks everyone for the feedback

must admit alot of people have a strong dislike for black background. not sure why but when i was doing this shoot i simply hated the background getting into the way probably the bad weather and no sunrise pissed me off quite abit. have to admit that i am quite attracted to the black background actually.

tchuanye: yes lots of friends in punggol, big and small, young and old always welcomed to come and make acquaintance
