It's a lens that you won't put down once you start using it US pricing is 1199USD, similar to 25 F1.2 Pro when launched, so probably in similar range...

Don't have one to compare side by side, though my preference is to stick same lens on same brand body.

What makes a portrait lens stand out from the many other options is that it should have the ability to transcend from sharp to soft in a gradual and gentle manner and in this case the 45F1.2 Pro does an excellent job.

Some say contrast, but I say both contrast and rendering both makes a piece of glass worthy.

It is a big lens no doubt, but compared to the nearest competition for FF, I appreciate how small and compact it actually is lol

I pitted my Sigma against the M.ZD since the Sigma is the closest lens I have and well.... What I noticed is that without comparison, I had a tough time telling which is which, but when comparing, it's clear that the Sigma has shallower DOF because of the larger size, but if I were to show you and not tell you what cameras I used, it's hard to tell

    Sigma

    M.ZD

After cropping, it made it even harder to tell which is which! Both shot at 1.4 for "fairness"
    Sigma

    M.ZD

An amazing thing is the ability for the M.ZD to focus very closely, as seen below, making it a huge plus for weddings and events!

Shooting my figures wide open was tough because the DOF, despite being m43, is very thin! But the bokeh is just

And of course, who doesn't like to view a beautiful girl? Seriously sharp, I zoomed in and can see my reflection and the pattern in her contacts, just absolutely crazy!
