Beautiful bird. One ranger told me the branch where this
Storky used to be, but no luck so far.

Nice shots.

photos taken with my usual 300 f/4 + 2xTC. photos were shot in raw and converted. beak seems overly red when flash is used...

Is this the stork billed kingfisher??

I understand that the largest stork billed kingfisher in Singapore is a resident of the Sungei Buloh Nature Park... Anybody knows if it's still there???

The Stork billed is still in Sungei Buloh as to whether its the largest in Singapore, not sure. the guy in my avatar is the SB Storky.

Have seen Stork Billed at Macritchie and Khatib Bongsu as well. If i recall, the guy in Khatib Bongsu also pretty big.

But the guy in BG is soo easy to photograph - doesn't seem scared of kids screaming - DADDDEEEE DADDEEEE BIRD!! BIRD!!!!
