Farewell, friend.

We stopped talking, formally, after two whole years of silence.
Why now? Why me? Why can't we put what happened behind us?

I was hoping to be able to talk to you again, to be able to start on a clean slate, but I guess you wanted to run away from your past too much to be able to do that.
Sometimes I wish that incident never happened, but it has. And nothing I do now will make it undone. All I can do now is to pick up the pieces, and look sadly over my shoulder as you fade away into the distance.

Take care. If our paths do cross in the future, let our meetings be amiable, and our minds open. Farewell, my former friend.

If you should want to talk again, I'll be waiting for you.

Using the cat's eyes to express emotion is quite cool. Very nice and touching series...
