Default West Coast ParK: Assorted bugs series

These are the other bugs I manage to take.

FZ10+6T+Sigma CU, ext bounce flash, ISO50, F8 various speeds

#1: Hover fly
1/200s
Finally manage to take this close up of the hover fly. Really fascinated by the eyes...only managed afew shots of it, of which this is the best.

#2:Skipper?
1/800s
Brings back memorie, cos it was almost exactly a year ago that I took a pic of this butterfly. Than, I thought that it was a moth!
High shutter speed as it was in the sun, and had to prevent the whites from over blown

#3:Shield Bug: Green theme
1/50s
This shield bug was in the shade, hence a slow shutter speed. I like the greenish theme.

#4: What are you looking at!
1/160s

#5: Grasshopper wider view
1/250s

#6: Grasshopper close up
1/400s

Fantastic details but composition can still improve. What wonders nature have for us! And are we doing a part to preserve them?
Happy shooting for the coming New Year as the Japanese will be celebrating theirs in few hours time.

Actually, no need to be expert to comment on composition, its almost the same for all types of photography...at the end of the day, does the pic looks good to you? Different pp have different views, and is always good to hear different opinions......I like to hear them as it helps me improve!
