Read most of them too. Find that he is able to build up the excitment, but the endings tends to be not as strong.

likewise, i agree the buildup is good. but somehow, the endings always lead me to believe the editors have a major hand in deciding what goes there.

Not really a fan, but I have read 4 of his books. His stories are quite compelling enough to make me keep on reading. Using historical facts and myths to tell a story is very interesting. As to how true some of the "facts" stated inside his books is open for debating, but I would like to believe in most of it.

Oh yeah. Saw the trailer before. Should be quite interesting. I think Tom Hanks will be Robert Langdon.

While his books are filled with history and actual facts, he has failed in the plot. The ending is somehow disapointing but the research he has done is extensive. Nevertheless I do enjoy his books.

I only read Da Vinci Code, personally, i think it is a rather predictable storyline. I expect more twists and surprises.

Remember that it is categorised under "fiction". Probably quite some artistic intepretation sprinkled all around.

Angels and Demons is the best among a sad lot. He dos a good set up, but the ending had been very week. That said, even the set up is very predictable, very repetitive.

Yuppp agree that after reading Da Vinci Code and Angels and Demon... I prefer A&D much much more and will perharps read another time..... those who had read the books can perhaps visit dan brown website where pictures of the location of all those earth, air, fire water are documented

Yup hope A&D can be produced into a movie just like DVC

Meanwhile i will be 6 more months before i read the other 2 books.

    Happy new year

When I was reading that book... I actually googled 'illuminati'...

I like Dan Brown's books... though I think they tend to get a little predictable after you've read a couple.

That he confessed, is his sole purpose; to be predictable, though brain-twisting MOST of the time. His point is to make it look simple, yet unsolveable.

Its just fun to read to the middle and comtemplate with his books, like Cervantes' novels.

Anyway, anyway saw Amélie? The 2001 french movie. "Amélie" Audrey Tautou will be Sophie, so that will be a must-watch movie for moi.
