I was using a D70 with a 105mm macro and built in flash
new additions to my usual setup is

1: 2X Seagull angle finder
2: Monopod, trying to get one more stop for DOF

hey, how you used in-build flash but without getting harsh shadows?
1/16 or 1/64?

colors looks off and the flash abit too harsh

Raptor1: I try to balance the flash exposure with the ambient light and also make sure that there is nothing behind the subject to cast shadows.

eikin: don't worry, we can shoot again another time

Simonsng: can you give more details, please. I would like to know so that I can improve.

use a bounce card? to reduce the "harsh-ness"

Great shots - I like the clarity of the shots. And also the 3rd picture - wow how did you manage to get shots like these - I walked around Punngol and only saw a lot of ants

Yeah, sifu Otega, newbie here wants to learn too.. As usual, nice pictures. The white spider is really a challange to take. Infact anything white will be hard for me as I tends to either over or under exposure and lose details. Well done. I still wish I could take pictures as sharp as yours.
