at railway crossings, the trains always have the priority at the lights. you can't stop a train just to let cars pass can you? it doesn't make sense. i think there's an international law that govern this... not sure where to look for it though.

Erm I think he is trying to explain to me about crossing lights, since apparently I mistaken them as common traffic lights.

Tiong Bahru, the vicinity of Tiong Bahru CC, and the area opposite: Very nice old apartments

Parkview Square: Grand, extravagant, oppulent architecture out of New York.

MacKenzie Road: Malaysia style street scenes in Singapore. Very old dilapidated shophouses.

Shuang Lin Monastery: Very serene and tranquil. Unique, rare blended architecture (you'll be suprised....). Just don't take pics of the statues of the gods.

Kusu Island: Very peaceful, very beautiful

St John's Island: Kampong style housing.

Kampong Lor. Buangkok: (no need to explain)
thanks for these info...sure check it out one of these day

btw "Just don't take pics of the statues of the gods." any reason why?

There are signs within the halls saying no photography.

    Other temples also have signs.

Yeah, two families living in a kampong for several decades. I always believed my geography teacher who cited that Singapore is only 90% urbanised.

I tried walking towards the post and the man, apparently he is a Singaporean. So much for the "land of Malaysia". Haha.

seriously, if you ever want to go there and have a shoot around again, you can always start an outing. it's better to go in a group.
