    Hi guys,
the batt in my Braun 3D Excel toothbrush not holding charge anymore. Does anyone knows how to DIY replace the batt? There doesn't seems to be any screw or anything that you can take apart??

tink there is a hole near the bottom of the toothbrush. take out the brush and poke the hole and use the metal stalk and push out the battery. or u can bring to:

So you too huh. I tried figuring this out for the past 6 months. No screws to remove. If your comes with a stand/charger just slot it in and twist (but can't remember if clockwise or anti-clockwise). Be careful and do it at your own risk hehe.

Try discharging the battery completely, then charging again, a few times. It might be the memory effect you're facing.

To open up the toothbrush, put it on the charger, push down and turn the brush anti-clockwise. The base should come off, but it's still attached to the main body by three thin wires. To get the whole body out of the plastic cover, just push the metal axle against something solid.

The battery they used is not a standard sized battery, it's shorter but fatter than an AA sized battery. It's also soldered to the PCB. Good luck trying to replace it.

tink it's written in the manual on how to take out the battery. anyway, this electric brush i dun use it daily as it's not supposed to be a complete replacement of the traditional toothbrush, i use it weekly to clear those rear, hard-to-reach areas. so my oralB is still going strong after 2 years.

The rechargeable batteries in toothbrushes and shavers are generally not user replaceable. Even if you manage to open it up, in most cases you won't be able to get a replacement battery.

What I do is buy the one that runs on AA batteries, and use rechargeable AAs, cheaper and when the battery dies, definitely can get replacement.

If anyone manages to replace the 'proprietary' Braun battery, please post here
