i have a F401 cam. but it seems like when i preview via live feed from the CCD, it gives me fuzzy images from the LCD, when i attempt to take the pic. the camera cannot zoom, cannot focus and when i take the photo, it gives me a super super fuzzy picture which its realli "artistic"
to my understanding, i believe the ccd is dead or something.. i hope to hear some inputs from the regular fuji users here. i also hope to receive some answers like the cost of replacement of the CCD or any related parts. and some recommendations on whether should i continue to send the camera down to the service centre or should i just get a new one. sorry if i asked too many questions at one go. coz i also nt a fuji user and i am nt realli familiar with the system. (F401 is a PNS) ![]()

Send it back to fuji for repair, you MAY get lucky. I know of ONE person who got his F401 repaired FOC even though it was after warranty.

http://www.fujifilm.com/JSP/fuji/epa...quicklink=true My out of warranty JVC video cam also uses Sony CCD which JVC changes for me FOC. I didn't realise it till I found out 1 week before my holiday trip. Got it fix in speed quick time. Kudos to JVC Sg. This service advisory start around Oct 2005. But anyway, the F401 doesn't fall under the faulty CCDs catergory. It's the F410 that does.
