In the real world - $$$

    No money no talk.
Pictures always should have a special story behind it or a special meaning to the photographer.

    Go the extra mile.

But then, it overlaps into all the others attitudes.

    Integrity.

A lot of the time, people don't see the effort that we are putting in behind the scenes to make sure things go well. I think integrity is precisely that...to do your best and be honest in what you do, even when nobody is looking. To a certain extent, that is also Discipline and Honour.

In a civilised life, I would say the most important attitude anyone should adopt is "Responsibility".
We must be responsible to ourselves to live as a member of our family, our country, our planet as well as part of God's creation.
    always the Light, .... always.

    Trustworthiness.

Because if you are trustworthy, you will be

    Punctual for work
    Honest in your dealings
    A person of integrity
Not hold back from your best
Work hard to please yourself and others

All of them. None can work well without the others.

How may we learn the practice of humility?

When we are humble instead of being prideful, we still can always have the characteristic traits of being late for most of our appointments. Also a humble person may not necessary want to work hard or do more than what he is supposed to do.

Can a person of higher appointment ‘humbled himself’ and used his intelligence and authority not to domineer, but to serve?

It seems that in relations between people, humility is again not primarily an attitude towards oneself, but towards others.

    ---------------------------------
Can it mean that to the modern society, the term ‘humility’ is apt to suggest self-effacement, the depreciation of oneself? Can we argue that devaluation of human life is not humble at all, but arrogant?

A person with a positive attitude has honesty, integrity, industrious and capable of going the extra mile, however he may not be always punctual. This lack of punctuality can ruin the trust that his colleagues have on him.

Good news is that research has found that a positive attitude may somehow has a go in delaying the ageing process too because psychosocial factors as well as genes and physical health - play a role in how quickly we age.

Dominator thanks for taking part in the poll.

I think it's simply treating others as how you would want to be treated. Nobody wants anyone to cheat them, toy with them, give a don't-care attitude, give an air of arrogance etc.
However, it seems that more and more people are complaining that youngsters nowadays have rotten attitudes, especially humility. At times, one really think that the elders are quite true, as no fires start without a spark. I may not have that much working experience but I do agree to some extent. E.g. a fellow P.A. who just decided to drop all his work and run away from his "stress", resulting in the photographer and the team having to panick and rush like crazy to clear all the deadlines (not to mention the additional costs).

Believe it! Make a list of what integrity means to you and you begin to explore all the possibilities.

Next organisations have their own principles, thus employees have to abide by the decisions. Honor your integrity. Do not try to compromise your values to make some extra money.

    ---------------------------------------------
It was said that to honor your highest self,
and you'll be rewarded throughout your life with
    ever-increasing prosperity!
