I just fixed my 3040 of hot pixels and changed the language from Japanese to English for $50 at the Olympus service centre .I would say that the hot pixels are removed by about 99 %. in my opinion it is very good liao...

any questions?

the $50 is becos ur cam is no longer under warranty?

nope...but i bought it in Japan and it is a local warranty
