Default Rodinal

Finished my last drop of Rodinal.
Did not anticipate that they will be gone forever!!!

Would have bought the whole stock last seen at Ron's if I knew they will be discontinued.

Anyone knows where on earth can I get?

rodinal-a-like formula:

http://www.jackspcs.com/frodinal.htm

Gotten the formula from a poster at analog photography user group:

250 ml 20% sodium sulfite solution
30 tablets @ 500 mg acetaminophen
20 g Red Devil Lye

anyone (chemist) knows where to get or would like to experiment?

This is the best developer I ever used, have your guy try 1:100 dilution, now I'm no longer using shifted to digital...

Yup, Agfa has closed down. Read about it in the latest issue of Black and White Photography. Agfa products (Rodinal, APX and Scala film, etc) are a thing of the past. In the same issue they also have an article on how to make a homemade Rodinal. Apparently, the copyright to the formula has expired sometime back and is available to the public.

If i am not wrong, Rodinal is one of the oldest or if not the oldest B&W film developer. Also, the dilution ratio is quite high compared to the rest of the developers. So it makes economical. Also Agfa has closed shop already. It is the last cance you can get this developer before it goes out of existance.

Agfa is alive and well. Agfa saw the signs of the time and got rid of its film/paper/chemistry branch quite a while ago. The photography branch was taken over by the newly founded company AgfaPhoto. It is AgfaPhoto which is being liquidated, not Agfa.
