The costs of the SV45U2, SV45Ti (and just for your reference the SV45TE) are as follows:
SV45Ti: 300,000 yen SV45TE: 340,000 yen SV45U2: 440,000 yen These prices do not include the cost of freight from Japan to Singapore, which I estimate to be around 10 or 15,000 yen. i hope i could afford it one day ![]() 1SGD~140Yen |

Hey, S$2100+ for the basic SV45Ti using your conversion rate is frankly not bad to own an Ebony. It's not their ebony wood model, but you can expect the finish to be miles ahead of Wisner. |

BTW, if one reads the large format section in photo.net or largeformatphotography.info, one will be overwhelmed by the amount of negative publicity for Wisner. |

I used to own a Calumet (i.e. Zone VI) large format field camera (US$1,600). The workmanship and construction then (in 1998) was already much better than Wisner.
I gave up my LF ever since I returned to Singapore, largely due to the availability of T-Max 100 sheet film and T-Max RS developer. Last edited by photobum; 16th December 2005 at 08:52 AM. |

heheee.... made a mistake with the exchange rate.. should be 1Yen~0.01436 SGD
In term of SGD: > SV45Ti: 300,000 yen ~ 4310 SGD > SV45TE: 340,000 yen ~ 4882 SGD > SV45U2: 440,000 yen ~ 6318 SGD so sorry for the late reply, was away last week.. the email reply and contact is cut and paste below, fyi. Kex, you was qouted $5k+ for ebony was for which model? --- ian wilson <igbwilson@yahoo.com> wrote: > Date: Mon, 12 Dec 2005 16:27:27 -0800 (PST) > From: ian wilson <igbwilson@yahoo.com> > To: boochap@starhub.net.sg > > > The costs of the SV45U2, SV45Ti (and just for your reference the SV45TE) are as follows: > > SV45Ti: 300,000 yen > SV45TE: 340,000 yen > SV45U2: 440,000 yen > > These prices do not include the cost of freight from Japan to Singapore, which I estimate to be around 10 or 15,000 yen. > > At the moment the delivery time for any of Ebony's 4x5 cameras is about 2 months from > confirmation of order.
