Default RE: 1/4"20 to 3/8" male thread adapter for tripod

Hello everyone,

i recently just bought a manfrotto ballhead 484RC2 to use in combination with my SLIK Sprint PRo GM. But only to foud out that the male thread on the Slik is 1/4"20. Thus the manfrotto ball head being 3/8" female cannot be used.

I know about thread adpaters from tripod that are avaliable from CP. But do the quality of this small adapter affect the holding strength?

i know manfrotto and slik boht have such accessories. but does the brand matter?

Regards
