Default Possible Nikon switching... some questions 1st....

ok... here goes...

How much is a D200 going to be? with battery grip?
Whats the equivelent model to get (almost same buttons layout) for film? with battery grip?
Whats the price of the T/S lens? i think 80mm...
Is there any Matt focusing screen available for these 2 models?
Is there any Line focusing screen available for these 2 models?
Is there a combo of both Matt & Line focusing screen?
How much is a 17-35?
How much is a 28-75?
How much is a SB800?
How much is a wired remote cord for D200?

still got more questions...

Think most of the price of the items can be found at the sticky.
Waiting to savage your lens.

Only F6 has similiar buttons layout.

Bro, U should get 12-24 and 17-55 instead of 17-35 and 28-70....
I think u should know why...

Ah.. the pain of the dreaded crop factor... Do what i do previously, buy the 12-24 for digital and 17-35 for film. Thats the price we consumers have to pay, if only there is a FF DSLR from Nikon sigh!

If you're coming in from minolta, then it wouldn't be that bad in learning the system quickly...

However, if you are from the other brand then it could possibly take you a while to learn but at the same time the learning curve really depends on you.

For me, mine has been quite long.

learning is not the problem now... problem is the cost of switching actually... i'm more into shooting still life... so i would be more likely getting macro & T/S lens 1st.

if KM just gimme a fix to the rotation flaw of 7D, i might just stay there.. there is flaws in 7D not addressed, and its fixed on the 5D, making 7D users felt so pissed... a pro body not as good as a consumer body... sianz...

gimme a Minolta tilt shift, i also stay... hehe... how come now like minolta bashing session...

wait for KM7Di loh, shouldn't be a long wait, and it will fix the 7D problem. Just notice KM don't have TS lens, but that doesn't concern me though.
DCA, may I ask what you planning to use TS lens to shoot for? Buildings?

product shoot of super reflective (mirroring) spheres, i just dun like to do PS, and i dun like to just have the mood of its the best i can do with the equipment i have.

i was looking for a bellow, seems that minolta have one, but not tilt type... and if i was to buy minolta ones, i think i'll be like the only guy in sg doing it on minolta, any problem i dunno who to go to... might as well get from a better source like Nikon or Canon... (5D is 1 of the option...)

anyway, y does KM have to come out with 7Di and kill the 7D users, imagine trying to offload a 7D & getting a 7Di... damn bo hua... who knows, maybe just minor upgrade, and then still loads of hidden problems...

that's the problem of digital product life cycle, usually quite short and not much support after the product life ended. Indeed KM should do better in the filmware upgrade to solve most solvable problems.

Most new products will have some faults waiting to be solved. Even KM5D does seem to have a few problems. But as you know it does not limited to KM only though.
