Default Comments on 35mm negative film.

What is the difference between the different brands of 35mm negative films from manufactures like Kodak, Konica, Fuji and Afga?

What is the difference between professional and consumer film and how to tell the difference?

What type of film should I use for different situations like outdoor, indoor, portrait, landscape, artificial and natural lighting ect.

    lemme try...

think of all the types of instant noodles there are, that is the difference between the films. They cater to taste.
pro film use better chemicals or better handling (prime cuts )

then, there is speed. imho, buy as slow as you can shoot properly in.

some notable (by me ) negatives:
-fuji reala 100, really fine resolution and extra dreamy colours..
-fuji press 800, good reso for this speed and fast..
-kodak t400cn, b/w film that uses normal labs. speed 100-800. the higher the speed the less b/w it looks ====> more grayscale...

as for film vs function, generally get faster film +flash if indoor and/or evenings.
night scenes/ daytime can use reala or slower film + tripod.
tungsten film for pros, or a 81a or b filter for ur lens.

suggest u read sites like kodak.com or fujifilm.com to see what they have... and then based on ur assumptions search for each name on the web for user reviews..
